UNIFORMS

Why We Wear Uniforms

The uniform is one of the methods of delivering the Scouting program. The Scout uniforms are identifiable and representative of our program. In addition to creating a sense of belonging, the uniform gives a Scout the ability to display their personal achievements as well as to practice being neat and clean in their appearance.

Uniform Requirements

Each rank has specific uniform requirements. Use the buttons below to identify the required uniform components for each rank.

Wearing the Uniform

In general, every Cub Scout should wear their full uniform (Class A) to all Cub Scouting activities, including den and pack meetings, unit outings, and any activities done with members of the den or pack.

When playing sports, going to camp, or participating in other physical activities, a pack may opt to have the Cub Scouts wear an alternate uniform, such as an activity shirt. These are sometimes referred to as Class B Uniforms.

Pack leaders should provide advance notice of any occasion when the Scouts should wear anything other than the complete uniform.

Here are some tips for wearing the uniform:

Any time you are uncertain about uniform regulations, ask the den leader for guidance.
