Each year in recent memory, Pack 529 has made an annual weekend camping trip to La No Che's Cub-a-Ween. This is one of the most popular pack activities each year. It's a great trip that's a lot of fun and we intend to keep going back year after year. If you haven't been to Cub-a-Ween yet, imagine visiting a Fall Festival during the day and a Haunted campground at night. It's a fun family experience.
This year, Pack 529 has selected October 11-13, 2024 October 25-27, 2024 for our Pack to attend Cub-a-Ween. If you can't make it with us, you're welcomed to attend one of the other dates.
Join us at Camp La-No-Che for THE Cub Scout event of the year! Daytime FUN includes a variety of activities from Games, Crafts, Shooting Sports, Swimming, Pumpkin Carving (bring your own or pre-purchase), Cotton Candy, Human Hamster Wheel Icees and more!
When the sun goes down and darkness falls, it's time for our Camp La-No-Che Ghosts and Ghouls take their turn to play with you! So, put on your favorite ghoulish costume and take a "stroll" down the Haunted Trail; travel through the La-No-Che Cemetery on our way to the Haunted House; and stop by the Ecology Lodge see the who is left behind in the abandoned prison - IF YOU DARE! Looking for something a little less spooky? Then come join "Little Kevin" for his Council Ring Show, enjoy the evening carnival AND dance a little at the Wms Family Pavilion "Ghosts & Ghouls" Dance Party. Lastly, head back to your "resting place" to do a little TRICK OR TREATING from campsite to campsite (bring your own candy to share - EARLY Trick or Treating is permitted for the younger ghosts and ghouls)!

Each campsite has enough space for the Pack to set up tents, a central fire pit, and a screened shelter which has electrical outlets and running water at each site. There are bathrooms stationed at each camping site. Each bathroom is a decent size with 2 showers with plenty of hot water, 2 toilets with doors, separate urinals, and two sinks.
All families/individuals are responsible for bringing their own personal items and camping supplies.

All Scouts are required to have BSA Health Forms Parts A & B completed annually. These forms are required for participation in Scouting activities. Please complete and submit both a paper copy and an electronic copy of your Scout's completed forms to our Committee Chair, Samantha Langford. Drop paper copies off in person, and email the electronic copy to her at committeechair@pack529.us. The paper copy will be kept on-site with an adult leader during the campout, and the electronic record will be saved as a backup for the year.
When you attend this campout, you have a few options for meals. You may:
Plan, purchase, supply, prepare, and cook your own meals; or
Purchase meals from Camp La-No-Che's Dining Hall; or
Have Pack 529 plan, purchase, supply, and prepare meals for the Pack (see links below); or
A combination of these options.
