Pack 529 resumes regular meetings on Mon. 8/17/26!
Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT) is required for all Scouting America registered volunteers and is a joining requirement. The SYT must be taken/renewed every year. If a volunteer's SYT completion is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be re-registered.
Visit Scouting America's Youth Protection page to learn more about the training and how to get started.
You do not have to be a registered leader of Scouting America to take the training. At Pack 529, we strongly encourage all parents/guardians and all participating adults to take the online training. This ensures that all adults involved in Scouting have been trained on ways to help protect our youth and can help make sure they able to participate in scouting safely.
Go to My.Scouting.org and create an account or log in. If you are creating an account, you will receive an email with your account information, including a Member ID/reference number.

Rank books include a pamphlet entitled, "Youth Protection: How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse, A Parent's Guide". Scouts and their families are required to complete these activities to earn rank. We hope you will find this pamphlet as important as we do!
