The Orlando Solar Bears has a special "Scout Night" event annually where there are special afternoon activities, such as "chalk talk" with the coaches, on-ice activities, and a special gift.
Activities (optional) typically start around 3pm (exact time TBD). The game starts at 7pm.
Pack 529 has secured a block of 40 seats for our Pack. If your family is interested in joining us,
tickets to sit with our group must be purchased using this link through this link by 2/13/2026 https://www.gofevo.com/event/ScoutPack529
Your ticket allows your family entry to the activities (optional) and the game. Parking fees, food, and other extras are not included in the ticket price.
Please note that this is an optional event.
Below is important information regarding Solar Bears Scout Night, including the special afternoon Scout activities and essential information about completing a waiver in advance, activity times, entry/exit information, etc.
A WhatsApp Chat will be created for those attending. The chat can be used to meet up/chat with one another, share photos, make meal plans, ask questions, etc.
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
Parking:
Parking is not included in your ticket prices. Typically, the Kia Center parking garage has one side entrance open early for these activities. There's also street and lot parking around, just be sure to avoid any tow away or time-limited parking. 😬 While garage parking can be a little high (~$25), it's convenient and safe. They accept card and cash payments at the garage.
The garage is considered on the "back side" of the arena, so you'll need to cross the street and walk to the front side of the building to gain entry through the Kia Center Main Entrance . (The sky bridge is not open for this event; go to the front entrance only.)
Attire:
No specific attire is necessary (unless Cubmaster tells us otherwise). I do recommend closed toe/closed heel shoes not only for walking, but also for the on-ice activities. I advise Scouts wear long pants in case they fall during the on-ice activities. People who get cold easily may also benefit from lightweight jacket/sweater as needed. While it's cooler in the arena, and it will be a little cooler in the afternoon before the arena fills up with people for the game, it's not typically "cold" enough for most people to wear "warm" clothes while seated during the game.
Security:
Everyone will go through security and the Kia Center's bag policies apply, so be sure to check those out in advance to prevent any hassles.
EVENT ITINERARY:
Itinerary for pregame events follow.
2:30 PM: Scout Night Check-in
Scout Night kicks off at 2:30 PM with check-in at the main entrance on Church Street. To ensure a smooth process, please have all scout waivers completed before arrival. Scouts without a completed waiver will not be able to participate in pre-game activities.
📜 Waiver: https://www.orlandosolarbearshockey.com/2025waiver
Upon check-in, scouts will receive their exclusive Scout Night gift—a special keepsake for the event!
2:30 PM: Photos with Shades
Get ready to snap a fun photo with Shades, the Orlando Solar Bears’ energetic and lovable mascot! Show off your team spirit, strike a pose, and maybe even score a legendary bear hug! Don’t forget to share your awesome pics with friends and family!
3:15 PM: Chalk Talk with Solar Bears Coaches
Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of a hockey game? This is your chance to hear directly from the Solar Bears coaches as they break down strategies, share insider stories, and answer your burning questions!
3:30 PM: On-Ice Slapshots
Right after the Chalk Talk, the Kia Center ice will be open for 90 minutes—giving scouts the thrilling opportunity to take some slapshots!
Family & Friends Viewing Area:
While scouts are waiting in line, friends and family should watch from Section 107, accessible via the stairs on the right side.
Only necessary chaperones should remain in line with the scouts (ideally two per 10 scouts). If attending as a family, please limit to one parent per scout—all other guests should watch from Section 107.
Your cooperation will help keep the event running smoothly, ensuring every scout gets their turn on the ice.
5:00 PM: Scout Night Activities End
At the conclusion of Scout Night activities, you will have two options:
1. Leaving After Slapshots?
If you choose to leave after your scout has played on the ice, you may exit through the same entrance you came in from. Doors will reopen at 6:00 PM, allowing you to re-enter the building and join us for the Solar Bears game!
2. Staying Inside the Kia Center?
You can remain in Section 107, where a concession stand will be open in Section 108 for your convenience.
FOOD:
You can grab limited food/drinks at the concession stand behind Section 108 if you're staying at the Kia Center between the activities and the game.
Families can also choose to leave and grab food at one of the options near the Kia Center and return for the game.
You may also choose to wait and grab food at any of the open concessions once the Kia Center officially opens before the game (most concession options open around 6pm) or during the game.
7:00PM GAME
Puck drop is at 7pm. If you got our group seating tickets, we'll be in Section 113. You'll want to be seated by 7pm so you don't miss any of the action!
