Stay engaged with Scouts over the Summer!
When there's no school, there's no Scouts. Pack 529 likes to keep our Scouts connected over the summer, though, so we plan a few summer events!
The Central Florida Council also offers Scout Summer Day Camps.
Pack 529 is holding a few summer events to keep our Scouts engaged during the summer.

Date: Sat. 6/7/2025
Time: 10am start (park closes at 5pm)
Location: Gatorland, 14501 S Orange Blossom Trl, Orlando, FL 32837
We will be meeting at the ticket gate.

Attire: Class B t-shirt or any Cub Scout t-shirt (DO NOT wear Class A uniforms!)
Costs:
Scouts: Scout ticket costs are partially covered by the Pack. The reduced cost for Scouts is $7 and must be paid for in advance by 8pm on Friday 6/6 using the button below. Scouts who have not pre-paid with Pack 529 may not be eligible for this rate.
Adults & Siblings: Tickets for Scout family members/guests are not covered by the pack and must be self-paid either online or at the gate. There are a couple of ticket pricing options (all rates shown are before tax; tax will be added by Gatorland):
Florida resident pricing at the gate only:
Adult (13+): $17.50 per adult
Children (3-12): $12.50 per child
Seniors (60 +): $17.50 per senior
Proof of residency is required per adult.
Gate or online pre-purchase ($3 off gate price):
Adult (13+): Gate Price $34.99 or Online Price: $31.99
Child (3-12): Gate Price $24.99 or Online Price: $21.99
Transportation & Parking: Each scouting family needs to arrange their own transportation. There is no parking fee at Gatorland.
Special Notes: Outside food and beverages are not permitted. Bring spending money for drinks, food, and any extras you choose.

Kennedy Space Center (KSC)
Overnight Campout
Age Restrictions: The age range for this program is 7-14 only. Any youth outside this age range will not be allowed into the program. Chaperones must be 21 years of age or older.
Date: Sat. 7/12/2025 - Sun. 7/13/2025
Time: 3:45pm check-in; the program begins promptly at 4:00 p.m. Plan to have your overnight gear unloaded from your vehicle and your group assembled at the picnic tables by 3:45 p.m. Any youth or adults arriving after 5:00 p.m. will not be permitted into the visitor complex.
Location: Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, FL
Cost: $130 per person (Scouts, adults, family members)
Includes: Meals (dinner, late night snack, continental breakfast), admission to Kennedy Space Center, and sleeping under Space Shuttle Atlantis Shuttle
Transportation & Parking: Each scouting family needs to arrange their own transportation. There is a parking fee of $10 for cars if you arrive before 3:30 p.m. If you arrive after 3:30 p.m., you will not be charged
Details: Pack 251 out of Casselberry is coordinating and responsible for this event; they have extended the invitation for Pack 529 and other local Packs to join them. Each Scout must have a parent/guardian accompany them; this is not a drop-off program. Your registration information and fees will be passed along to Pack 251 for event coordination. See the information packet (button below) for full details on what to pack, where to park, possible activities, code of conduct, etc.
Attire: All Scouts should wear Class A uniforms on 7/12/2025 and Class B on 7/13/2025. Parents/guardians are recommended to wear Class A or Class B if available.
Required Documents: All campers (Scouts, parents/guardians, and family members) must complete and bring the Kennedy Space Center Medical Authorization and Waiver forms with them to the campout. See the information packet for the two KSC forms.
Registration & Payment Deadline: Thursday 6/5/2025. Registrations and payments after this date cannot be accepted. Registration is now CLOSED.

Every June and July, the Central Florida Council hosts at least one week of summer day camp in each district. The Cub Scout Day camp is for Cub Scouts entering 1st grade through 5th grade. Tigers (1st graders) are required to have an adult partner attend camp with them. Experiences may include: Target & Range Sports, Games, Scout Skills, NEW Cub Scout Program Adventure Electives, STEM, Crafts, Special Guests, and More!
