8. Cub Scouts is designed to center around family participation, with parents serving as role models and mentors for their child. As such, our Pack requires an adult from each family to serve on two Pack Committees, as Committee Chairman (or Assistant Chairman) for one Standing Committee, or as a trained, uniformed Adult Leader (Cubmaster, Pack Committee Chairman, Treasurer, Den/Patrol Leader (or the associated Assistant Chairman/Leader) in the Pack. This ensures that all families are represented within the Pack, and each family shares in the responsibility of making the Pack function properly.
B. Pack Committee
1. The role of the Pack Committee cannot be overemphasized. The purpose and goal of the Pack Committee is to provide whatever support is needed to make the Pack go and grow. It is imperative that every Scout family participates at some level within the Pack Committee.
2. Cub Scouts is designed to center around family participation, with parents serving as role models and mentors for their child. As such, our Pack requires at least one adult from each family to serve in one of the following adult positions:
a. Cubmaster,
b. Assistant Cubmaster,
c. Den or Patrol Leader,
d. Assistant Den or Patrol Leader,
e. Pack Committee Chairman,
f. Pack Assistant Committee Chairman,
g. Standing Pack Committee Chairman,
h. Standing Pack Assistant Committee Chairman, or
i. Member of two (2) Standing or Event Pack Committees.
This ensures that all families are represented within the Pack, and each family shares in the responsibility of making the Pack function properly. NO EXCEPTIONS.
3. Adults are expected to fulfill their obligation(s) for the entire scouting year (June-June).
